This is the new completely redesigned Root Grapple from Construction Attachments. It kind of looks like a bomb went off but we're going to take some of these smaller limbs and mid-size trees, scoop them up, grapple them down and load them in a big pile for cleaning up later. We're just going to show you some of the things that you'll be able to do with it if you get something like this, to clean up all this debris and shrapnel that is around here. We're here today to show you the Construction Attachments Compact Root Grapple. We're here deep in the woods where they've done a lot of cross cutting.
#Best root grapple for tractor driver
These were added to help protect the driver and the tractor or skidsteer from sharp debris that might poke through the grapple. One of the newest features added to root rakes and rake grapples are the protective back bars as seen in the images to the right. The lids for these grapples can come in a single lid or a dual lid for more flexibility and are hydraulically operated. The grapples range in different widths and sizes from 54" wide to 72" wide. Constructed of 3/8" steel with 1/4" gusseting for added strength they can take a beating. These grapples are Universal Quick Attach compatible with an optional John Deere quick attach. Not only do they fit on a number of different tractors such as John Deere and Kubota but you can also buy them for Skit Steers. These grapples are made to last and will handle anything you throw at it. Root rakes, rake grapples, and root grapples are some of the most versatile tractor attachments you can buy. Another neat thing about these root rakes are the way the tines curve upward which helps prevent loosing part of your load. This allows you to carry more weight of what ever it is you are trying to carry such as a stump. One of the nice things about root rakes and rake grapples is how they are designed to allow sand and dirt to fall through between the bars. Okay so maybe it wasn't desiged for that but watch in the videos below and you'll just that.
Heck with the roots why not pull out the whole tree.
As the name implys the root grapple is the perfect attachment for pulling out roots, no matter what the size. Loading and moving logs ands stumps has never been easier. This is the absolutly one of the best root rake - rake grapples / root grapples in the world! Root grapples can be used out in the field for many jobs such as clearning branches and debris, piling and loading limbs, bursh, and logs. You can also back drag with the tips down to scarify a surface or rake.Root Rake - Rake Grapple - Wicked Root Grapple As the dirt comes up against the back tube it is spread out evenly for a great land leveler type finish. The webbed front works excellent for shearing off or pulling out smaller saplings and brush as well as it shears off high spots in dirt and the dirt spreads out into the bucket and drifts out the back. Because of the 3” tine spacing, sifting is still a big part of what these are used for but we now see many customer using this attachment for, land leveling, light to mid land clearing, firewood moving and brush moving. The rock bucket grapple mainly has been associated with picking rocks but has become a very versatile attachment for many applications. The open design helps when shaking dirt out of root balls and brush piles. It also helps when back dragging to smooth up an area that has been worked. The cross tube allows the grapple to float on the surface without pushing up dirt. The front cross tube allows the operator to control the depth of the tips by the angle of the unit. This grapple uses an 8” spacing between the tines to allow dirt to pass through the tines while collecting branches, roots or logs. The root grapple is mainly associated with land clearing and tree work. Usually we would recommend using a root grapple or a rock bucket grapple for this application to minimize damage to the sod when raking up debris. We have seen these used in tree removal applications where, after grinding a stump they can remove the chips with a grapple bucket and still move logs. With this grapple, all material is kept in the bucket and scraping to a clean finish can be obtained. The grapple bucket (or flat bottom grapple) is mainly used in industrial applications where the work is being done on hard flat surfaces, such as, demolition, recycling and scrap applications. We often get asked, what grapple style do I need? This is really an application-based decision but we can offer a few pointers.
